Wild Game Recipe of the Week: Venison Marinade

Venison Marinade

Prep Time: 5 Mins

Cook Time: Varies with each cut, grill to desire doneness

Servings: Makes about 2 cups

Ingredients:

½ cup soy sauce

½ cup dry sherry

½ cup of olive oil

5 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger

1 teaspoon grated orange rind           

1 teaspoon of black pepper

Directions:

Whisk together in a large bowl the soy, sherry, olive oil, onion, garlic, ginger, orange rind, and black pepper.

To prepare venison steaks, place them in a zip-top plastic bag and add the marinade.

Marinate, refrigerated, for 2 hours before grilling.
